WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnotherapy is an evidence based treatment for addressing changes that you wish to make in your life by addressing any limiting beliefs, deep seated emotions and behaviours that are holding you back from having a better quality of life.

When a person is in a trance their subconscious mind has extremely focused attention and is open to positive suggestion.  A trance is where the body is very relaxed and although the person appears to be “asleep” they hear very clearly and are aware of where they are and what is happening.  They can not be made to do anything against their morals or that they do not wish to do.

Each client is unique and the hypnotherapist needs to do a thorough assessment of their needs before proceeding with treatment.  They may want to change something in their life but have difficulty pinpointing what is holding them back.  The hypnotherapist will assist the client to tackle their issues and reach psychological breakthroughs by pulling up repressed memories and buried emotions that are at the root of their problems.
